Mount Edward Muirkirk Pinot Noir 2009

The 2nd release of our single vineyard Muirkirk Pinot Noir. Vinified in a traditional fashion using open fermenters, hand plunging, natural yeasts and malolactic fermentation, 14 months in French oak.

The wine displays dark rich fruit characters, hints of briar berries with a beautifully supple tannin structure. It is a powerful and balanced wine that manages to display grace and elegance alongside concentration. This wine exemplifies why we have placed such high regard in Felton Rd, Bannockburn, as a winegrowing sub region.

Like our other single vineyard wines this has been aged further in barrel to aid its development and potential.

Bottled in August 2010 with a release date of june 2011, 65 cases total.
