Mount Edward Pinot Gris 2013

This Pinot Gris is grown at our Lowburn vineyards, off the L’Attitude vineyard of Merrill & John Holdsworth down near the shores of Lake Dunstan, Cromwell. The soils here are a light layer of loess over a mixture of glacial and river based gravels. Elevation is 235m and annual rainfall around the 375mm.

This Pinot Gris is all about texture and flavor. Pear, apples, & spicy tones are underlined by aromas of tropical fruit and a soft fullness of flavour. Nice acidity provides a refreshing backbone to the wine. A drier style that is extremely good with food.
